SuperFooty podcast - Week 1 finals

RICHMOND'S finals failure, the winners out west, who can make a finals charge and all the latest trade whispers - the boys cover it all after a big opening week of the AFL finals.

But the Tigers were the big talking point after a third elimination finals loss in as many years.

"What does this mean for Richmond and what do they do contractually with this man (Damien Hardwick), who, boy he was the picture of frustration after the game?" Sam Edmund asks the podcast panel.

Anthony Hudson says it will be a testing summer at Punt Road, where stability has been a hallmark in recent seasons.

"Do they extend his contract or go into the year knowing that it's going to be one of those years where the media will (speculate all year)?"

The Western Bulldogs were another weekend loser but lost no admirers after coming from well down the ladder in 2014.

But responding to a question off twitter, the boys wonder just how much the Bulldogs will improve next season - or might they risk being a similar story to Port Adelaide in 2015?

There was plenty of love for the winners, with Jarrad Waite's North Melbourne "never having a better chance" to beat Sydney this week", while Adelaide is also exciting the lads.

"As a neutral, it's hard not to love Tex (Walker), isn't it? We scoffed when he was (made) captain."

The two WA sides are through to preliminary finals but the boys still aren't completely convinced on one of them. Can you guess which one?

Huddo couldn't believe how bad the Hawks were against the Eagles, and Sanmmy expects them to be angry this week. But can they go all the way from here?

Plus the boys discuss all the latest trade whispers, from Adam Treloar to Jake Carlisle.

Don't miss this week's SuperFooty podcast!
