The SuperFooty Podcast - Round 11

WHICH team had more to be pleased with coming away from the St Kilda-Melbourne clash? As both sides slugged out a beauty on Sunday, the SuperFooty panel ran the rule over the Round 11 clash.
Melbourne coach Paul Roos once discussed the worst 47 seconds in football, but the boys think Sunday’s final 41 seconds at Etihad Stadium was almost as bad.
How did the Dees blow it? The boys discuss, with Mick believing the ‘cheats never prosper’ theory may have something to do with it.
As Collingwood cemented its place in the top four we analyse the upside to the Pies, but also say proceed with caution ahead of their telling month ahead.
Essendon is in trouble after another big loss. The crew thinks the club wouldn’t mind their time over on a few decisions in our weekly Be Kind, Rewind segment, while cracks are starting to appear at the club as coach James Hird tries to retain support from loyal fans.
“There’s a stench coming out of Essendon, and it almost reminds me of that smell out of Carlton eight weeks ago.”
North Melbourne have been a bit of Jekyll and Hyde this year, but someone simply isn’t a fan of the Kangas.
“They conned us last year ... absolute con job. They’re not top-four material, they’re miles off that.”
Meanwhile, the boys don’t agree on the game’s no.1 player. Who would you choose first if every AFL star was lined up in the schoolyard? Mick is a little left of centre with his selection.
Plus a wrap of all the on-field action, the third-man up rule discussed, Huddo says today’s footy is simply getting too hard for the average fan to understand and a heap more.
